Located right at the park entrance, Amp'd Adventures is the only official biking partner of the Garden of the Gods Visitors Center. We have multiple bike styles for various budgets, all which provide adventure to see those amazing red rocks! Our Garden of the Gods e-bike rentals offer unimpeded views during your ride and make climbing hills a breeze with pedal assist. With more than 1000 5-star reviews, you can rest assured that you will receive the highest quality equipment and service to maximize your Colorado outdoor experience! Fully guided e-bike tours are also available if you prefer to have an expert local guide lead the way and share insights about the amazing geology and history of the park and Pikes Peak region. PLEASE NOTE: e-bike rentals are limited to paved paths only.
Mountain Bike Rentals at the Garden
Amp'd Adventures provides standard pedal Mountain Bike Rentals at Garden of the Gods. These hard tail (front suspension) bikes will allow you to experience both bike lane pavement and trail riding through the park, including a dedicated section with single track trails. Please note, that on both the pavement and dirt trails, you will encounter a number of hills to climb. If you are arriving from lower elevation areas and are accustomed to flat terrain, we advise the consideration of renting e-bikes for your visit at Garden of the Gods. At 6,400 ft with less oxygen, the e-bikes are a game changer! E-bikes are limited to paved paths, unless you opt for our guided tour. While we offer both self-guided Rentals and professionally-guided Tours, if you are a visitor wanting to ride a bike or e-bike through Garden of the Gods, or other area locations, we would highly recommend you consider a guided e-bike tour - for a number of important reasons that may not be obvious. This includes the ability to go into locations not available to self-guided Rentals, better safety for navigating traffic, and getting some background of what to look at and why when you are sightseeing. Advanced Reservations and Walk-Ups:
Online booking for Garden of the Gods e-Bike rentals close the night before. Same day rentals are available on a walk-up first-come first-served basis, or may be available by phone.Limited advance booking for rentals is available on our rental calendar, and may be available at one or both of our locations depending on season and staffing. For advance booking of self-guided manual pedal or e-bikes, see our Rental Calendar. For Walk-Ups at either of our locations, bike Rentals are on first-come first-served basis, and subject to availability and days of operation which may vary. Locations for Electric and/or Mountain bikes may also vary. You can call prior to coming to confirm current rental availability that day, but please be aware that availability can change after you call or at any time due to other renters, weather, and other factors.
Rental Locations & Bike Types:
1. Garden of the Gods Visitor's Center - Electric bikes and standard pedal mountain bikes. Open daily, subject to weather and availability.2. 3040 W Colorado Ave - Electric bikes and standard pedal mountain bikes. Generally open Wednesday through Saturday in season, and subject to weather and availability. Sunday through Tuesday may be available upon request - please call.
Rental Rates:
Rates vary depending on bike type and season.E-bikes (electric assist): See Rental Calendar for availability and pricing details, 2 hour minimum rentals.
HardTail Mountain Bike (manual pedal): See Rental Calendar for details, 2 or 4 hour rental
Rental Requirements:
Renter must be 25+ years old to sign rental contract, with valid drivers license and credit card.Renter must be one of riders.
Maximum of 6 people per rental agreement.
Damage deposit is required.
Rider Requirements:
For E-Bikes: All electric bike riders in the rental party must must be 16+ and have a valid drivers license.For Mountain Bikes (not e-bikes): All bike riders in the rental party must be 12+ years old, 4'10"+ tall, and subject to bike size and style availability.
For all:
Each rider in the rental party must demonstrate confident and capable riding prior to departure.
Each rider must sign a waiver, and wear closed shoes (no sandals, flip flops or clogs), and wear a helmet (provided).
